TRAUMASSIST but works in association with Traumatology Services International. TRAUMASSIST offers a subscription option which will assist in times of trauma without the financial burden of professional fees.

PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS

It must be emphasised that TRAUMASSIST provides professional trauma intervention by professionally trained and qualified personal. The personal are bound by the Ethical code of conduct of The South African Integrated Traumatological Council.

Of importance too, to clients is that TRAUMASSIST does not use volunteers in the provision of services. It believes, from an ethical and professional perspective that efficient and effective trauma treatment cannot be left to amateurs, no matter how well intentioned they may be. Unfortunately there has been a tendency in South Africa to consider the treatment of non­ pathological trauma as less worthy of proper intervention than physical trauma.

INDIVIDUAL SERVICES

TRAUMASSIST offers the individual patient effective, efficient and professional trauma recovery interventions from a holistic perspective, which includes the physical and emotional implications of the experiencing of a trauma. It also provides facilitation in respect of the relief of life stressors.

CORPORATE/ORGANIZATIONAL SERVICES

TRAUMASSIST offers a wide range of work related trauma services to both the private and public sectors.

These services slot very well into workplace related wellness programmes, employee assistance programmes and employee up-liftment initiatives, but are equally effective on a stand-alone basis. This latter aspect is particularly important for smaller employers, for whom costs are paramount.
