Integral Addictionology © is a specialized field of integral traumatology™, which is concerned with all the aspects of the trauma and crisis assocated with dependency and addiction in all of its forms on the individual, famiiy and society. It is focussed on the traumatological and neurobiological implications of dependency and addiction rather than the latter exclusively. It does not follow the typical conventional approaches to the treatment of dependency and addiction, which are viewed as conditions and not weaknesses. It follows a modern, fresh and inclusive approach.
Integral Addictionology © brings together the inputs and draws on a host of related sciences, such as integral psycho-humanology © ; integral socio-humanology © ; integral physio-humanology © ; integral traumatology™ psychognostics; biology; nutrition and others. Notwithstanding the heritage on which it stands, it is specific in its content and purpose . Training in Integral Addictionology © at its various levels, prepares and enables the individual to provide supportive and alleviation interventions to sufferers of dependency and addiction.
With its “new” approach, it offers exciting and rewarding additional career and employment opportunities.
Integral Addictionology © is not intended to, nor does it replace any existing profession. It can be applied in its own right or it can further enhance existing professional knowledge and ability. It is a complementary as well as supplementary discipline.
