Advanced Emergency Trauma Response Certificate

An Emergency Trauma Response Certificate is required for this course.

This course enhances the emergency trauma intervention that can be utilized, by providing additional skills to the Advanced Emergency Trauma Responder for the treatment of victims of disasters and crisis on a day-to-day basis in communities.The Advanced Emergency Trauma Response Certificate© is one of a range of qualifications offered by the Institute (IITCI) in the field of traumatology and crisis intervention.The Institute considers this Certificate to be an important addition to its range of qualifications. An AETR© performs a more comprehensive role in the treatment and ultimate mental and physical recovery of the traumatized. The AETR© also provides effective professionally based AETR© interventions for the recovery of the physically injured.

THOROUGH EFFECTIVE PROFESSIONAL LEVEL TRAINING

Designed by leading experts in the field, based on up-to-date techniques, customized to South African conditions and only available through the IITCI !

The AETR© certificate consists of two components - theory and practice.

The student AETR© learns:-

THEORY (32 Hours)

· AETR© CPR (Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation)*

· AETR© AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Adult Child & Infant*.

· AETR© First Responder Patient Assessment, Bleeding Control, Foreign–body air way obstruction, and immobilization*.

· ATERP© Advanced Trauma Exposure Resiliency & Preparation.

· Crowd Management.

· Referral Protocols.

* These courses are accredited by The Resuscication Council of South Africa (RCSA).

* On successful completion of a written and practical examination a RCSA

Course Completion Card is issued.

PRACTICE (28 Nominal Hours)

· Twenty-eight supervised community or disaster related AETR© facilitated cases.

· Twenty-eight related case histories (oral or written).

STUDYING FURTHER

Successful completion of the AETR© Certificate guarantees admittance to study for the Institute's Certificate in Traumatology.
