Education and training
Training in Integral Traumatology™ is really open to anyone who has the genuine desire to work in the field. At entry level, beyond the basic requirement of competency in English and a high/secondary/ senior school final certificate, or equivalent you can decide to what level you wish to train. In turn this will determine at what level you can function in the field of Integral Traumatology™.
Your current educational level and content is assessed, as well as any relevant experience by means of recognition of prior learning, which will determine at which point you will need to commence your training or which courses you will to supplement your existing qualifications . Training is provided by means of short courses in module form by an Institute training provider. This takes place on a distance training basis . Once you have successfully completed the required short courses, the Institute will recognize these and award an applicable certificate of completion in respect of short courses completed.
The short courses may also be completed individually on a stand alone basis to comply with Institute registration requirements.
The training is recognized by the Institute for membership and registration in the applicable professional category. You can thus gain valuable and recognized registration with IITCI. The registration categories are

The short courses are conducted, through completion of systemized training modules; attendance at practical workshops (if applicable); self study; successful completion of assignments; interim and final knowledge assessments and prescribed practical training. All short course content is modularised, easy to understand and with a reasonable amount of effort, commitment and diligence, successful completion of the courses is within the reach of most people. Trainees are afforded the opportunity of undergoing knowledge re-assessments in the event of this becoming necessary. Prospective trainees must demonstrate an acceptable level of competency in English as all courses are conducted in this language.
The short courses, in four phases, are based on the Meta-Traumatological Model © which consists of the Emergency Trauma Response Phase ©; Stabilization Phase © ; Recovery Phase © and Traumosis Phase ©. This model is unique and has proved its effectiveness and efficiency as a trauma intervention approach.
